Manchester United host Besiktas at Old Trafford in the final home game of the group, already assured of qualification for the knockout stages of the Champions League.

Dominating the group from the start, United have never looked in trouble, unlike their rivals Liverpool, who exited the Champions League last night, to the delight… I mean dismay of United supporters.

Despite sealing qualification last time out, United are still playing to top the group and keep their proud record in the group stage, where they have not lost at Old Trafford in eight years.

It is expected to be an experimental side, with the likes of Rio Ferdinand, Jonny Evans and John O’Shea all sidelined.

Wes Brown should start in central defence alongside Nemanja Vidic, whilst Alex Ferguson has already confirmed that Darron Gibson will be given a start in midfield.

Danny Welbeck and Federico Macheda will be hoping to get a start in attack, on a night where Sir Alex will surely look at resting Wayne Rooney.

The increasingly impressive Gabriel Obertan will also be hoping to get his first Champions League start for the club after a string of highly impressive cameos over the past month, but it is likely that he will have to settle for a place on the bench once again.

Although United will probably field a youthful team, I still believe they will run out comfortable winners in front of a home crowd. My prediction for the game is a 2-0 win for United.
