Nemanja Vidic has revealed that he will stay at Manchester United for at least the remainder of his contract.
The central defender has been linked with a move to Real Madrid, but Vidic insists he has never claimed to want to join the Spanish giants and is happy at United.
“I have never said I’d like to move to Madrid,” he told the Daily Star Sunday.
“I will definitely stay here until 2012 at least – and then we have time to speak about whatever may happen in the future.
“I am enjoying it here and I think I’ve showed that on the pitch. For now, all I’m focused on is playing the game and doing my best.”
“Media speculation can affect your concentration and I don’t want that now,” he added.
“Maybe earlier in the season, because I had a few injuries, people started talking and saying, ‘He’s not happy’. But none of it came from me.
“I’d like to win four league titles in a row because nobody’s done it before in the English game and I want to make history.”
